This is a hands-on Surveying Contracts Manager role focused on the delivery of insurance-funded repair and restoration works across a mixed portfolio of domestic and commercial claims. The role sits at the interface between insurers, networks, surveyors, contractors and internal operations, taking projects from instruction through to completion.
The successful individual will bring a strong insurance repair background, with proven experience managing works ranging from high-volume, lower-value repairs through to more complex projects typically up to £200k (with exposure beyond this desirable). The emphasis is on repair expertise, contract control, programme management, cost awareness and consistent delivery to insurer SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage insurance repair and restoration projects from instruction to completion
● Act as the main point of contact for insurers, networks, surveyors and contractors
● Scope, validate and oversee repair methodologies, costs and programmes
● Control works typically under £20k by volume, with regular projects between £100k–£200k
● Ensure quality, compliance and cost control across live contracts
● Resolve technical, commercial and programme issues as they arise
● Support operational delivery across repair and restoration streams
Background & Profile
● Proven experience in insurance repair, restoration or reinstatement
● Strong understanding of insurance workflows, network delivery and SLAs
● Trade, surveying or construction management background preferred
● Comfortable managing multiple live jobs concurrently
● Practical, delivery-focused and commercially aware
● Experience acting as a Contract Manager, Surveyor, or hybrid “Surveying Contracts Manager”
