The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to join a growing team of professionals. The successful candidate will take ownership of complex projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This is a client-facing role that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a portfolio of construction and property-related projects across various sectors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Prepare project briefs, feasibility studies, and business cases.
- Develop and monitor project programmes, risk registers, and delivery plans.
- Manage project teams and coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs.
- Oversee procurement processes and contract administration.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, health & safety, and sustainability targets.
- Deliver exceptional client service and contribute to business development initiatives.
- High-profile residential and mixed-use developments.
- Complex heritage restoration and refurbishment schemes.
- Educational and healthcare facilities upgrades.
- Commercial fit-outs and office redevelopments.
- Infrastructure enhancements including transport and public realm.
- Proven experience delivering complex construction projects, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycles, planning processes, and procurement strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Experience with NEC, JCT, or other standard forms of contract.
- Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools.
- Chartered status (MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB) or working towards accreditation is desirable.
- Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., APM, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
