We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Claims Technician to join our Home Claims team in Liverpool or Manchester. The Role:

As a Claims Technician, you will play a vital role in helping individuals and families recover when the unexpected happens. You will manage a caseload of property claims from first notification through to resolution, supporting field surveyors, liaising with customers, and ensuring that service excellence is maintained throughout the claims journey.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound claims from initial notification to final resolution, ensuring timely updates and exceptional service.

  • Record and verify claim details using an intuitive claims management system.

  • Provide reassurance and support to customers at all stages of the process.

  • Liaise with surveyors and other internal teams to schedule visits and manage workloads.

  • Negotiate and agree settlements where applicable, ensuring accurate and fair outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to internal processes and compliance standards.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Exceptional customer service skills and a calm, empathetic approach.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Professional telephone manner and confident interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency with IT systems and document management platforms.

  • Previous experience in domestic property claims is desirable.

  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual capabilities are advantageous but not essential.
