An opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join a well-established and expanding multi-disciplinary practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a wide variety of projects, including residential and commercial buildings, with a particular focus on insurance-related work. This role offers clear progression opportunities up to Senior or Associate Director level.

Responsibilities
Inspect and advise on the design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of buildings.
Carry out acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys and defect investigations.
Prepare detailed reports, schedules of work and specifications.
Manage and oversee works using recognised building contracts in line with current technical standards.
Take responsibility for larger projects independently, delivering full consultancy services.
Apply relevant legislation including Building Regulations, Party Wall matters and CDM 2015.
Actively contribute to business development and client relationship management.
Supervise and support APC candidates and junior colleagues.
About You
MRICS accredited or working towards.
Strong experience in defect diagnosis, report writing and contract administration.
Proven background in managing projects to budget and deadlines.
Insurance repair project experience is desirable.
Knowledge of CDM Regulations, Building Regulations and Party Wall matters.
Strong IT, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
Flexible approach to work, with leadership and mentoring experience an advantage.
