An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate or Intermediate Building Surveyor to join a busy and growing team in Newcastle. This is a full-time role offering hands-on experience across a wide variety of building surveying disciplines, with structured support and mentoring to help you progress in your career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out measured surveys and producing floor plans, elevations and details using AutoCAD
  • Conducting building surveys including condition surveys, schedules of condition and defect diagnosis inspections
  • Supporting project work including design, statutory consent applications, tender documents, monitoring projects and administering contracts
  • Undertaking building pathology inspections, identifying defects, proposing solutions and estimating costs and timescales
  • Assisting with property management activities such as planned maintenance programmes and elemental cost estimates
  • Contributing to CDM services including pre-construction information and health and safety files (desirable)
Skills and Experience Required
  • BSc or BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying (RICS-accredited) or working towards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and measured surveys
  • Knowledge of refurbishment and alteration of existing buildings
  • Previous consultancy experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
