We are seeking a dedicated Fire Engineer to join a leading consultancy specializing in fire safety solutions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive fire engineering services across various sectors, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and contributing to innovative design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement fire strategies for diverse projects, including commercial, residential, education, transport, healthcare, hospitality, and nuclear sectors.
Lead workshops and meetings to discuss and refine design solutions.
Produce detailed fire engineering technical reports and retrospective fire strategies.
Review technical packages from sub-contractors and provide expert feedback.
Manage projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
Conduct fire dynamics analysis, including smoke dynamics, heat transfer, human behavior, and structural response assessments.
Perform on-site inspections and liaise with clients to maintain strong working relationships.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BEng Hons) in Engineering, preferably accredited by the Engineering Council.
Minimum Associate Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).
Proven experience in delivering fire-engineered solutions for UK-based projects.
Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation, regulations, and design guidance.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with fire modeling software and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
Familiarity with BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992, EN45545 standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
