We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Cost Manager or a driven chartered Cost Manager to Join an established Consultancy within London. The Client is a leading construction consultancy providing cost management, project management, and contract administration services across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, leisure, retail, residential, and specialist laboratory environments. Known for delivering high-quality consultancy services throughout the full project lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, representing the company in meetings and communications while building strong, professional relationships.
Support business growth by fostering collaborative partnerships with existing and prospective clients.
Manage all stages of the project lifecycle—from initial feasibility estimates through to final account settlements.
Mentor and support junior staff and graduates, promoting team development and knowledge sharing.
Provide clients with expert commercial guidance throughout project delivery.
Effectively manage contract changes and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Produce accurate cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting in alignment with clients' internal procedures and governance standards.
Carry out valuations of construction work and manage timely agreement of final accounts.
Requirements
Solid understanding of the construction industry and project lifecycle.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
Skilled in using CAD Measure.
Strong communication skills with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
Ability to delegate tasks effectively and support team development.
Flexible, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or within a team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Chartered member of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
Minimum of 4 years' relevant industry experience.
