We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Cost Manager or a driven chartered Cost Manager to Join an established Consultancy within London. The Client is a leading construction consultancy providing cost management, project management, and contract administration services across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, leisure, retail, residential, and specialist laboratory environments. Known for delivering high-quality consultancy services throughout the full project lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, representing the company in meetings and communications while building strong, professional relationships.

  • Support business growth by fostering collaborative partnerships with existing and prospective clients.

  • Manage all stages of the project lifecycle—from initial feasibility estimates through to final account settlements.

  • Mentor and support junior staff and graduates, promoting team development and knowledge sharing.

  • Provide clients with expert commercial guidance throughout project delivery.

  • Effectively manage contract changes and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Produce accurate cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting in alignment with clients' internal procedures and governance standards.

  • Carry out valuations of construction work and manage timely agreement of final accounts.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of the construction industry and project lifecycle.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.

  • Skilled in using CAD Measure.

  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative and proactive mindset.

  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively and support team development.

  • Flexible, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or within a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • Chartered member of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).

  • Minimum of 4 years' relevant industry experience.
