An established and growing multidisciplinary property consultancy is seeking a Chartered or Senior Building Surveyor to join its Manchester office. This role offers a varied workload with an approximate 50:50 split between professional services and project work, providing the opportunity to lead client instructions, manage projects, and mentor junior surveyors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Building Surveying, Project Management and Contract Administration instructions across a range of sectors.

Deliver projects with contract values typically ranging from £25,000 to £5 million.

Prepare specifications, drawings and tender documentation, and manage tender processes.

Provide a full range of professional Building Surveying services, including:

Technical Due Diligence (TDD)

Dilapidations
-
Building Surveys
-
Building Reinstatement Cost Assessments (BRCA)

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules

Support and deliver façade remediation and building improvement projects.

Manage project delivery, ensuring quality, compliance and client satisfaction.

Mentor and support junior surveyors, assisting with their professional development.

Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to repeat business opportunities.
Candidate Requirements

MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor or working at Senior Surveyor level.

Ideally 1–2 years post-qualification experience (or equivalent experience at Senior level).

Experience across both professional services and project work.

Strong technical knowledge of building surveying practices and contract administration.

Excellent report writing, communication and client management skills.

Highly organised with strong time management and project coordination ability.

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
