An established and growing multidisciplinary property consultancy is seeking a Chartered or Senior Building Surveyor to join its Manchester office. This role offers a varied workload with an approximate 50:50 split between professional services and project work, providing the opportunity to lead client instructions, manage projects, and mentor junior surveyors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Building Surveying, Project Management and Contract Administration instructions across a range of sectors.

  • Deliver projects with contract values typically ranging from £25,000 to £5 million.

  • Prepare specifications, drawings and tender documentation, and manage tender processes.

  • Provide a full range of professional Building Surveying services, including:

    • Technical Due Diligence (TDD)

    • Dilapidations

    • Building Surveys

    • Building Reinstatement Cost Assessments (BRCA)

    • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules

  • Support and deliver façade remediation and building improvement projects.

  • Manage project delivery, ensuring quality, compliance and client satisfaction.

  • Mentor and support junior surveyors, assisting with their professional development.

  • Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to repeat business opportunities.

Candidate Requirements

  • MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor or working at Senior Surveyor level.

  • Ideally 1–2 years post-qualification experience (or equivalent experience at Senior level).

  • Experience across both professional services and project work.

  • Strong technical knowledge of building surveying practices and contract administration.

  • Excellent report writing, communication and client management skills.

  • Highly organised with strong time management and project coordination ability.

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
