Building Surveyor (Chartered – Associate Director)

The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established, multidisciplinary construction and property consultancy based in London that is continuing to grow its Building Surveying team. As part of this growth, they are looking to appoint Building Surveyors across Chartered, Senior and Associate Director level.
The Role
The role offers a varied workload across professional and project Building Surveying services, with the level of responsibility tailored to your experience. You will work across a broad range of sectors such as commercial, residential and mixed-use sectors and have the opportunity to progress quickly within a growing team.
Senior and Associate Director level hires will also play a key role in team leadership, client management and business development.
Key Responsibilities (Level Dependent)
- Delivery of core professional Building Surveying services, including:
- Building surveys
- Dilapidations (landlord and tenant)
- Schedules of condition
- Defect diagnosis and reporting
- Project delivery across refurbishments, alterations and capital works schemes
- Contract Administration and Employer’s Agent duties
- Client liaison and relationship management
- Managing multiple instructions and ensuring high-quality outputs
Senior / Associate Director Level:
- Lead larger and more complex instructions
- Manage and mentor junior surveyors
- Take ownership of key client relationships
- Assist with business development, fee proposals and team growth
About You
- MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor (or nearing completion for Chartered level)
- Consultancy-based Building Surveying experience
- Strong technical knowledge across professional and project services
- Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
- Organised, proactive and commercially aware
- Ambitious and keen to progress within a growing consultancy
