We a recruiting for an established, independent building consultancy who is looking to appoint an experienced Building Surveyor to join its growing team. This is a well-rounded role offering exposure to both residential and commercial instructions, with plenty of autonomy and long-term progression on offer.
The Role
You’ll be delivering a broad range of core building surveying services, working closely with clients and managing projects from instruction through to completion. The role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to be a trusted technical advisor.
Key Responsibilities

Undertaking residential surveys including Homebuyer Reports and Building Condition Surveys

Delivering commercial building surveys and compliance-related inspections

Diagnosing building defects including damp, decay, roofing and structural issues

Managing Party Wall matters, including disputes and agreements
-
Producing insurance valuations and clear, professional reports
-
Managing refurbishment and renovation projects end to end

Liaising directly with clients, contractors and consultants
About You

Degree qualified in Building Surveying (or related discipline)

RICS accredited preferred, but not essential

Experience across residential and commercial property

Strong technical knowledge of defect diagnosis

Familiar with the Party Wall Act and statutory compliance

Confident communicator with strong report-writing skills
-
Able to work independently and manage multiple instructions
