Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive Chartered Building Surveyor to join the expanding London team. This varied role offers exposure to a broad range of professional and project work—including surveys, dilapidations, refurbishments, and redevelopment schemes. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and design teams to deliver high-quality outcomes while developing your expertise in a supportive, growing consultancy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out building surveys, condition assessments, and defect analysis across commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties.

  • Prepare schedules of condition, dilapidation reports, and reinstatement cost assessments (BRCAs).

  • Provide professional advice on property maintenance, refurbishment, and compliance matters.

  • Manage party wall matters and prepare awards under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.

  • Oversee and support projects from inception through to completion, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering tailored and strategic advice.

  • Contribute to team development by sharing knowledge and supporting junior surveyors where appropriate.

 

About You:

  • Qualifications: Degree in Building Surveying or a related field. MRICS accreditation essential.

  • Experience: Around 3–5 years’ experience within a professional surveying environment, ideally across commercial or industrial sectors.

  • Skills: Strong technical and analytical ability with excellent communication and client-facing skills.

  • Flexibility: Comfortable travelling to client sites across London and occasionally further afield.
