Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive Chartered Building Surveyor to join the expanding London team. This varied role offers exposure to a broad range of professional and project work—including surveys, dilapidations, refurbishments, and redevelopment schemes. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and design teams to deliver high-quality outcomes while developing your expertise in a supportive, growing consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out building surveys, condition assessments, and defect analysis across commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties.
Prepare schedules of condition, dilapidation reports, and reinstatement cost assessments (BRCAs).
Provide professional advice on property maintenance, refurbishment, and compliance matters.
Manage party wall matters and prepare awards under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
Oversee and support projects from inception through to completion, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering tailored and strategic advice.
Contribute to team development by sharing knowledge and supporting junior surveyors where appropriate.
About You:
Qualifications: Degree in Building Surveying or a related field. MRICS accreditation essential.
Experience: Around 3–5 years’ experience within a professional surveying environment, ideally across commercial or industrial sectors.
Skills: Strong technical and analytical ability with excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Flexibility: Comfortable travelling to client sites across London and occasionally further afield.
