Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of subsidence claims from initial notification through to resolution
- Provide clear communication and support to policyholders, contractors, loss adjusters, and insurers
- Assess claims in line with policy terms and conditions, with a focus on technical and structural elements
- Arrange and manage site investigations, surveys, and engineer appointments
- Evaluate technical reports and determine appropriate remedial actions
- Negotiate settlement of claims within agreed authority levels
- Ensure accurate record keeping and case management via internal systems
- Provide regular updates to all stakeholders and ensure timely progression of each case
- Previous experience handling property insurance claims (subsidence experience preferred but not essential)
- Confident communicator with strong customer service skills
- Able to interpret technical reports and apply policy knowledge to claims decisions
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage a busy and varied caseload
- Empathy and professionalism when dealing with distressed or vulnerable customers
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Salary up to £27,000, depending on experience
