About the Role As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will:
- Lead Surveys & Inspections
Conduct measured and condition surveys, site inspections and dilapidation reports. - Manage Refurbishment Projects
Oversee small-to-medium value works (under £1 million), from client brief through to completion. - Provide Expert Advice
Advise clients on maintenance strategies, defect analysis and compliance with legislation. - Mentor & Develop Talent
Support RICS-trainee and junior surveyors, fostering a collaborative, learning-focused environment. - Collaborate Across Disciplines
Work alongside architects, engineers, cost consultants and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.
- MRICS qualified (or working towards, supported by substantial experience)
- Proven track record in building surveying, ideally within commercial and educational settings
- Strong knowledge of building pathology, construction techniques and relevant legislation
- Commercially aware and client-focused
- Skilled at managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Full UK driving license
- Competitive salary (£50,000 – £65,000)
- Flexible working: three days per week in the Ipswich office
