An independent and well-respected firm of Development, Built Asset, Engineering, and Sustainability consultants is looking to appoint a newly qualified Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Cost Consultancy team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a wide range of commercial property projects across the UK, working with a prestigious national client base including The Crown Estate, Aviva, Legal & General, and M&G.
This consultancy is known for combining technical excellence with commercial pragmatism and operates across all major commercial property sectors. With over 200 employees across the UK and Ireland, they strike the balance between being large enough to offer real career development and small enough for individual contributions to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities
Administering contracts with a strong working knowledge of JCT, NEC, GC Works, PPC 2000, and others
Producing accurate cost plans and estimates
Leading procurement processes (single and two-stage tendering)
Preparing tender and contract documentation including Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Work
Manual and CAD-based measurement
Conducting Reinstatement Cost Assessments
Analysing and understanding material costings
Essential Skills & Experience
Commercial cost consultancy experience across commercial, residential, and/or retail sectors
Experience managing procurement processes independently
Strong working knowledge of contract forms
Excellent client-facing and relationship-building skills
Commercially astute with attention to detail
Effective team player with strong communication skills
Ability to manage end-to-end cost consultancy services with confidence
