Façade Engineer / Senior Façade Engineer

We’re supporting a growing UK fire safety consultancy in their search for a technically skilled and motivated Senior Façade Engineer to join their expanding team.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver façade fire safety work across a wide range of projects, from new-build developments to existing high-risk buildings. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring buildings meet current fire performance requirements and contribute to safer, better-designed façades across the UK.

The role is fully flexible - work remotely from anywhere in the UK, from the London office, or in a hybrid pattern.

About the Company

  • A specialist UK consultancy delivering integrated services in Fire Engineering, Façade Fire Safety, and Fire Risk Management.

  • Renowned for its technical quality, trusted client relationships, and a strong values-based culture (Honesty, Integrity, Ambition, Quality).

  • Works across residential, commercial, healthcare, education and industrial sectors.

  • Deeply involved in external wall fire performance, PAS 9980 assessments, EWS1 reviews, and cladding remediation support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver external wall fire risk assessments in accordance with PAS 9980.

  • Conduct site inspections, review construction details, and assess cavity barriers, cladding systems, insulation types and fixings.

  • Produce high-quality reports for EWS1, façade reviews, and remediation design support.

  • Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants to guide compliant façade design and remediation strategies.

  • Stay up to date with evolving UK regulations and guidance, particularly around fire safety and façades.

  • Support junior team members and contribute to internal technical development and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Façade Engineering, Architecture, Fire Safety, or a related technical discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience working with building façades, either from a fire safety, architectural, or engineering background.

  • Detailed understanding of façade systems, cavity barriers, and fire-spread risks in wall build-ups.

  • Familiarity with UK regulatory requirements (e.g. PAS 9980, ADB, EWS1, Building Regulations).

  • Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.

  • Experience managing clients and contributing to project delivery.

  • Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., IFE, CWCT, RIBA, IStructE, or similar) is advantageous.

What They Offer

  • 9‑Day Fortnight: every other Friday off to support work–life balance.

  • Fully remote, London-based, or hybrid working options available.

  • Competitive salary and performance bonus structure.

  • Professional development support, including funding for chartership and CPD.

  • Opportunities to help shape internal standards, best practice, and innovation in façade fire safety.

  • A collaborative, values-driven team where your input is genuinely valued.

Why Join? This is a rare opportunity to work at the forefront of façade fire safety, contribute to impactful building safety solutions, and grow within a company that offers real flexibility, trust, and technical challenge.
If you're looking to take ownership of your work, make a difference, and progress your career in a supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.
