Façade Engineer / Senior Façade Engineer
We’re supporting a growing UK fire safety consultancy in their search for a technically skilled and motivated Senior Façade Engineer to join their expanding team.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver façade fire safety work across a wide range of projects, from new-build developments to existing high-risk buildings. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring buildings meet current fire performance requirements and contribute to safer, better-designed façades across the UK.
The role is fully flexible - work remotely from anywhere in the UK, from the London office, or in a hybrid pattern.

Deeply involved in external wall fire performance, PAS 9980 assessments, EWS1 reviews, and cladding remediation support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver external wall fire risk assessments in accordance with PAS 9980.
Conduct site inspections, review construction details, and assess cavity barriers, cladding systems, insulation types and fixings.
Produce high-quality reports for EWS1, façade reviews, and remediation design support.
Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants to guide compliant façade design and remediation strategies.
Stay up to date with evolving UK regulations and guidance, particularly around fire safety and façades.
Support junior team members and contribute to internal technical development and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
Degree in Façade Engineering, Architecture, Fire Safety, or a related technical discipline.
5+ years of experience working with building façades, either from a fire safety, architectural, or engineering background.
Detailed understanding of façade systems, cavity barriers, and fire-spread risks in wall build-ups.
Familiarity with UK regulatory requirements (e.g. PAS 9980, ADB, EWS1, Building Regulations).
Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
Experience managing clients and contributing to project delivery.
Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., IFE, CWCT, RIBA, IStructE, or similar) is advantageous.
