Key Responsibilities
- Support preparation and review of technical assessments and Fire Engineering Judgments (FEJs)
- Assist with passive fire protection evaluations: drywall systems, fire-stopping, compartmentation, fire doors, cavity barriers, and coatings
- Analyse fire performance test data to ensure technical accuracy
- Work alongside senior engineers to develop compliant strategies under UK and BS EN standards
- Conduct site surveys and engage with project teams to gather critical information
- Participate in client meetings and aid in project documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering or a closely related discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Materials Engineering)
- Strong analytical skills and technical literacy in fire engineering principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Highly attentive to detail and adept at problem-solving
- Effective team working across multidisciplinary project groups
- Familiarity with BS EN 15725 or Passive Fire Protection Forum (PFPF) processes
- Prior project or work experience via internships or academic placements related to fire engineering or testing
- Keen interest in sustainable design and innovative safety solutions
