In this field-based position, you’ll independently manage a portfolio of potentially fraudulent commercial insurance claims. Your primary responsibilities will include planning and conducting interviews, gathering and analysing evidence, and liaising with third parties such as brokers, contractors, and law enforcement agencies.

You will ensure each case progresses in a timely and compliant manner, maintaining accurate documentation throughout. You will also be responsible for producing detailed investigative reports, issuing outcome letters, and contributing to the identification and escalation of fraudulent activity to appropriate industry bodies.

This is a varied and rewarding role requiring strong investigative skills, an eye for detail, and a solid understanding of insurance principles and fraud prevention practices. As a vital part of the Commercial Investigations team, you will support our Client in delivering expert fraud detection and resolution services.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:
  • Insurance Knowledge: Solid understanding of insurance principles across commercial and property claims, including business interruption.
  • Claims Expertise: Demonstrated experience handling Commercial, Property, and Business Interruption claims.
  • Legal Awareness: Knowledge of current case law, legislation, and legal liabilities relevant to investigations.
  • Indemnity Principles: Practical understanding of indemnity and its application in insurance claims.
  • Construction Insight: Familiarity with building construction methods to aid in claim validation.
  • Evidence Handling: Ability to identify, secure, and accurately record and preserve evidence.
  • IT Proficiency: Confident use of Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and documentation.
  • Regulatory Understanding: Awareness of FCA regulations and how they impact your responsibilities.
  • Complaints Handling: Competence in managing and resolving complaints effectively.
  • Data Protection: Understanding and application of GDPR principles in all aspects of your work.
