Responsibilities
Investigate, negotiate and agree settlement of casualty and third-party liability claims in a professional manner.
Liaise regularly with insureds, insurers, brokers and third parties to progress claims and achieve timely outcomes.
Conduct on-site investigations where appropriate, gathering evidence, statements and factual information.
Prepare clear and well-structured reports in line with professional standards, internal guidelines and agreed timescales.
Identify and develop opportunities for business growth through professional engagement and networking.
Undertake ad hoc projects or tasks as directed.
Travel within the UK as required to support claim investigations and stakeholder engagement.
About You
Prior experience in casualty claims handling, commercial loss adjusting, or within a broader insurance claims team is essential.
Working towards or holding relevant professional qualifications such as CII or CILA is desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied portfolio of claims and respond to urgent client needs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing and professional correspondence.
Proven negotiation, decision-making, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Capability to build and maintain effective relationships with brokers, insurers and insureds.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
