Responsibilities

  • Investigate, negotiate and agree settlement of casualty and third-party liability claims in a professional manner.

  • Liaise regularly with insureds, insurers, brokers and third parties to progress claims and achieve timely outcomes.

  • Conduct on-site investigations where appropriate, gathering evidence, statements and factual information.

  • Prepare clear and well-structured reports in line with professional standards, internal guidelines and agreed timescales.

  • Identify and develop opportunities for business growth through professional engagement and networking.

  • Undertake ad hoc projects or tasks as directed.

  • Travel within the UK as required to support claim investigations and stakeholder engagement.

About You

  • Prior experience in casualty claims handling, commercial loss adjusting, or within a broader insurance claims team is essential.

  • Working towards or holding relevant professional qualifications such as CII or CILA is desirable.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied portfolio of claims and respond to urgent client needs.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing and professional correspondence.

  • Proven negotiation, decision-making, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Capability to build and maintain effective relationships with brokers, insurers and insureds.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
