We are representing a leading organisation seeking an experienced Building Consultant to join their award-winning Subsidence Services Division.

This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a portfolio of domestic and commercial subsidence claims from notification through to resolution, covering diagnosis, mitigation, and repair.

The role offers flexible home-based working with regular on-site visits in your local area.

The Role:

  • Manage a caseload of subsidence claims from instruction to conclusion.

  • Conduct diagnosis, provide technical advice, and oversee repairs.

  • Utilise digital technology for remote assessments alongside on-site visits.

  • Deliver exceptional service to clients and policyholders, balancing technical expertise with empathy.

  • Collaborate with remote colleagues, service providers, and support staff.

Requirements:

  • Chartered or working towards chartered status (e.g. MRICS, MCIOB, MICE).

  • Insurance qualification desirable (e.g. CILA or CII).

  • Strong knowledge of structural defects and subsidence damage.

  • Ability to diagnose, mitigate, and advise on repair techniques for buildings and drainage systems.

  • Understanding of CDM and Party Wall legislation.

  • Confident IT skills (Microsoft packages, Apple apps, Windows/Apple devices).

  • Claims handling experience is desirable (training available).

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.
