Conservation & Heritage Building Surveyor – Leadership Role

An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for a Conservation & Heritage Building Surveyor to join a well-established, multidisciplinary property team in Cirencester.

This role offers the rare chance to shape and grow a new service line within a respected consultancy renowned for its expertise across Estate Management, Consultancy, Food & Farming, Forestry, and Natural Capital. With an established office of 30 professionals and a strong client portfolio already in place, you’ll have the platform, support, and autonomy to make a real impact.

The Role We’re seeking an experienced Building Surveyor with a passion for heritage, conservation, and traditional buildings, ready to operate at a senior level.

In this role, you will:
  • Deliver high-quality building surveying services for conservation and heritage assets
  • Build and strengthen client relationships across a diverse portfolio
  • Lead and develop a growing service line, mentoring others as the team expands
  • Drive business development, identifying and securing new opportunities in both private and institutional sectors
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to maximise cross-referral opportunities
Key Requirements
  • MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor with a strong conservation and heritage background
  • Proven track record of delivering high-calibre professional advice and client service
  • Commercially astute with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong business development skills, able to win, retain, and grow workstreams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Up to £75,000 DOE

  • Discretionary annual bonus (up to 65% of fees generated)
