An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a growing property and construction consultancy team. This full-time position is ideal for a motivated individual looking to make a real impact within a busy and varied environment, primarily supporting UK-wide surveying projects on commercial buildings across all forms of construction.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and provide expert advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of commercial buildings and sites.
- Prepare reports, schedules of work, and detailed specifications.
- Design and oversee construction and refurbishment works, applying recognized building contracts and current technical standards.
- Act as Lead Consultant and/or Project Manager for larger-scale projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring smooth delivery.
- Understand and apply relevant legislation, including health and safety, party wall matters, building regulations, planning, and the Building Safety Act.
- Promote consultancy services and support business development activities.
- Interpret and advise on property and construction-related legal documents, including development agreements, leases, and monitoring reports for new developments.
- Prepare and negotiate dilapidations schedules and liability assessments for both landlords and tenants.
- Support and mentor APC candidates to promote knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Comply with internal policies, administrative processes, and Health & Safety regulations at all times.

The Ideal Candidate
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- MRICS accreditation (essential)
- Strong background in consulting engineering, surveying, architectural, or planning disciplines
- In-depth knowledge of statutory requirements and technical standards
- Experience in defect diagnosis and technical report writing
- Insurance repair project experience (preferred)
- Proven leadership, negotiation, and supervisory skills
- Ability to manage large-scale projects to deadlines and within budgets
- Understanding of CDM Regulations 2015, Party Wall Act, and Building Regulations
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with sound mathematical and IT capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
