My client is seeking a professionally registered and experienced Building Inspector to support the delivery of high-quality Building Control services across a diverse range of projects. The successful applicant will carry out inspections, review plans, and ensure full compliance with current Building Regulations and associated industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
Review plans, technical documentation, and on-site works to assess compliance with Building Regulations and statutory requirements.
Conduct remote and on-site inspections to ensure construction works meet approved standards.
Maintain accurate inspection records and project notes using the organisation’s digital platforms and quality procedures.
Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
Liaise with clients, contractors, design teams, and other stakeholders to provide clear regulatory guidance.
Maintain ongoing professional competence, including meeting CPD and Building Safety Regulator (BSR) registration requirements.
Support client relationship management and contribute to the organisation’s wider business development goals.
Participate in relevant industry events, training programmes, and professional forums.
Skills & Competencies
Strong, current understanding of Building Regulations, Approved Documents, and associated legislation.
Confident communicator, able to articulate technical matters clearly in both written and verbal formats.
High attention to detail and a methodical approach to compliance assessment.
Competent in using industry-specific digital inspection and reporting tools.
Ability to work independently within a fully remote structure while contributing effectively to a wider team.
Professional integrity and a commitment to maintaining high standards of practice.
Qualifications & Experience
Registered Building Inspector (Class 2 or Class 3) with CABE, CIOB, RICS, or an equivalent recognised professional body.
Substantial experience within Building Control, construction, or a related surveying discipline.
Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation, technical standards, and industry guidance.
Full UK driving licence for site visits.
