Join the Major and Complex Loss team as a Building Surveyor and play a pivotal role in supporting clients through some of their most challenging moments. Based in Glasgow, you’ll work alongside a highly skilled team of adjusters and technical specialists, providing expert advice and guidance on a diverse range of major and complex losses.
Your deep understanding of buildings and construction will be key as you assist lead adjusters in managing each loss with precision, empathy, and care.
This position offers the best of both worlds: the collaboration and camaraderie of an office-based team, and the flexibility to work remotely when needed, fully supported by advanced IT systems and dedicated administrative support. You’ll also travel across Scotland to meet clients and customers, making a real and lasting impact where it matters most.
What we’re looking for
Professional qualifications: MRICS qualified, or actively working towards completion.
Technical expertise: Proven experience managing complex commercial building reinstatement projects.
Claims knowledge: Previous experience in insurance claims handling or loss adjusting is highly advantageous.
Interpersonal skills: Strong communicator with the ability to coach, support, and develop others.
Self-motivation: Proactive and driven, with the ability to work independently and motivate those around you.
Organisational ability: Methodical, disciplined, and adept at managing workload and competing priorities.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel regularly to customer and client sites across Scotland.
Driving licence: Full UK driving licence required.
