You’ll be joining a leading UK consultancy specialising in building safety, fire engineering, and building control advisory services. The firm works across all RIBA stages—from feasibility through handover—providing fire‑safety strategies, compartmentation surveys, EWS1 support, CFD analysis and full fire risk assessments for both residential and commercial developments. Founded in 2013 and now part of a national Approved Inspector group, the team combines agility, innovation, and technical excellence.
Role Overview As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will:
Conduct Type 1–4 Fire Risk Assessments across residential, commercial, and mixed‑use buildings
Prepare clear, comprehensive fire risk reports with practical recommendations
Evaluate compartmentation, fire doors, escape routes and external façades (post‑Grenfell compliance)
Advise on fire strategy, passive fire protection, detection/suppression systems and Building Regulations
Liaise closely with project teams, clients, and statutory bodies, including Fire & Rescue Services
Use smart digital tools and structured processes to streamline assessments and reporting
What We’re Looking For
Recognised fire‑safety qualifications (NEBOSH Fire, IFE, IFSM or equivalent)
Proven practical experience in conducting multi‑sector FRAs (Type 1–4)
Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation (Fire Safety Order, Fire Safety Act, Approved Document B, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear stakeholder engagement
Ability to work independently, organised and self‑motivated in a remote environment
Full UK driving licence desirable, but not essential
