As a Building Surveyor working towards the APC (RICS), you will be responsible for managing and delivering commercial real-estate projects from inception through to completion. Your focus will be on refurbishment, fit-out, and repositioning of commercial office, industrial, and logistics assets. You will work within a collaborative team of building surveyors, project managers, and consultants to ensure successful project delivery, cost control, risk management, and client satisfaction — while receiving full support towards achieving chartership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and assist in delivering commercial projects (refurbishment, fit-out, repositioning) across the North West.Act as Employer’s Agent / Contract Administrator, managing design teams and contractors from brief, procurement and delivery through to handover.
Prepare and manage project programmes, budgets, risk registers, and quality controls.
Undertake or support condition/measured surveys, pre-acquisition/technical due diligence, feasibility studies, and specifications.
Produce technical reports, tender documentation, contract administration (JCT/NEC) and project close-out.
Develop effective client relationships through excellent communication and service delivery.
Support junior team members and contribute to the wider APC training culture.
Work collaboratively with internal departments to enhance client value through multidisciplinary expertise.
Ensure compliance with RICS professional standards and internal quality processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Degree (BSc Hons) in Building Surveying or equivalent, RICS-accredited or working towards.
Registered for or actively progressing towards the RICS APC pathway (Building Surveying/Construction).
1–4 years’ practical experience in commercial building surveying or project management.
Understanding of building surveying disciplines (surveys, specifications, technical due diligence).
Knowledge of project management principles: programme, budget, risk, procurement.
Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach.
Ability to manage multiple workloads and deliver to agreed deadlines.
IT proficiency including Microsoft Office; AutoCAD/Revit experience advantageous.
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as needed.

Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE)
