Job Title: Associate Director – Quantity Surveyor or Project Manager

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director to join a leading international consultancy specialising in delivering high-impact infrastructure and construction projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned Quantity Surveyor or Project Manager with a strong track record in civil engineering, highways, and infrastructure developments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the strategic delivery of complex projects, working closely with contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage project delivery across a portfolio of civil, infrastructure, and highways projects.
Oversee cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and commercial management.
Collaborate directly with contractors and construction teams to ensure efficient delivery, compliance, and quality standards.
Advise clients on best practices in project delivery, risk management, and commercial strategy.
Support the growth of the business through client development, bid management, and internal mentoring of junior staff.
Ensure compliance with health & safety and sustainability targets
Candidate Requirements
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Chartered status (RICS, CIOB, APM, or equivalent) preferred.
Significant experience in a consultancy or main contractor environment.
Proven track record working on civil infrastructure and highways schemes.
Strong commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive successful project outcomes.
Flexibility to work across multiple sites and projects as needed
Desirable Experience
Exposure to commercial and residential construction projects.
Understanding of UK/EU procurement frameworks and NEC contracts.
Experience with digital tools and platforms used in construction management and cost control.
