About the Role
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director to join a leading international consultancy specialising in delivering high-impact infrastructure and construction projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned Quantity Surveyor or Project Manager with a strong track record in civil engineering, highways, and infrastructure developments.
 
The successful candidate will play a key role in the strategic delivery of complex projects, working closely with contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams across the UK and Europe.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project delivery across a portfolio of civil, infrastructure, and highways projects.
  • Oversee cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and commercial management.
  • Collaborate directly with contractors and construction teams to ensure efficient delivery, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Advise clients on best practices in project delivery, risk management, and commercial strategy.
  • Support the growth of the business through client development, bid management, and internal mentoring of junior staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and sustainability targets
Candidate Requirements 
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered status (RICS, CIOB, APM, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Significant experience in a consultancy or main contractor environment.
  • Proven track record working on civil infrastructure and highways schemes.
  • Strong commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple sites and projects as needed.
Desirable Experience
  • Exposure to commercial and residential construction projects.
  • Understanding of UK/EU procurement frameworks and NEC contracts.
  • Experience with digital tools and platforms used in construction management and cost control.
