You will be instrumental in delivering outstanding service to our clients, managing a varied portfolio of domestic and commercial subsidence claims from first notification through to settlement.
 
This role would suit someone currently working in a claims technician or customer service position who is looking to progress their career into more technical and specialist claims work. There is also the potential to develop into a subsidence adjuster role over time, with ongoing support and training provided.
 
Working closely with our experienced subsidence adjusters, you’ll help manage direct cases, assess reports from engineers and surveyors, and apply your understanding of building structures and ground movement to help make the right decisions on each claim. You will also gather and analyse evidence, liaise with policyholders, contractors, loss adjusters, and insurers, and help ensure claims are managed efficiently and fairly through to settlement or repudiation.
Most importantly, you’ll be empathetic and proactive – able to see each situation from the customer’s perspective, make sound decisions based on technical information, and treat each claim on its individual merits.

You Will Have/will Be
  • Experience of household and commercial property damage insurance claims an advantage
  • Superb communications skills - listening and acting upon information given
  • Able to work as part of a team in a fast-moving environment and in compliance with SLAs 
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and to assist adjusters in moving caseloads to conclusion
  • Able to develop and maintain a close working relationship with the customers, to promote customer satisfaction during all stages of the claim
  • Understanding and empathy when required
  • Able to prioritise your workload on a daily basis
  • Excellent keyboard/ IT skills
