The Opportunity As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll take full ownership of delivering complex projects from inception through to completion, with a particular focus on NEC ECC/PSC contracts. Working closely with key stakeholders—including contractors, statutory bodies, and internal specialists—you’ll play a pivotal role in defining objectives, resolving challenges, and driving measurable outcomes. What You’ll Be Doing Leading the planning, management, and delivery of multiple live projects, ensuring full compliance with NEC requirements. Preparing and administering NEC contracts, managing early warnings, compensation events, and change control with confidence and clarity. Building strong, trusted relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams to align goals and expectations. Managing budgets, resources, and timelines while maintaining tight control of scope, quality, and risk. Driving a culture of open communication, continual improvement, and shared success within project teams. Ensuring all project activity upholds health, safety, and environmental standards. Supporting wider social value initiatives including community engagement, sustainability, and local employment. Producing clear, concise reporting and chairing regular progress meetings with stakeholders. What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction or infrastructure sector. Strong track record delivering projects using NEC ECC/PSC forms of contract. Deep understanding of contract administration, commercial processes, and risk management. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. A solutions-focused approach, with the ability to juggle competing priorities. Experience in bridge schemes is highly advantageous—exposure to moving bridge projects is a major plus. Background in working with statutory bodies (e.g., Environment Agency, MMO, Historic England) and navigating relevant permitting processes. Degree in a relevant discipline; Chartered status (MRICS, MICE, MAPM) is preferred. NEC accreditation and project management qualifications (APM/Prince2) are desirable.
